Americans capture doubles Championships in LCCC USTA futures Tennis

On Friday afternoon (July, 22. 2014), Americans Nathan Ponwith and Emil Reinberg won the doubles championships and made their victory of 6-2, 6-4 at the Andy Simpson Tennis Complex.  Meanwhile, No.1 seed Tennys Sandgren made a victory of 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 and he celebrated his 25th birthday with his success over No.8 seed Wil Spencer in a quarterfinal match. The next day (Saturday) he faced former fellow at university of Tennessee colleague Rhyne Williams in the Semifinals. Sandgren made his rank  to No. 334 in singles in Gallatin Tennessee. In this year, the tournament of Charlottesville, Sandgren won the titles at the USTA pro circuit collegiate Series in Virgina, in the singles tournament. In Andy Simpson Tennis Complex, Sandgren made a victory over Spencer. So, the Americans capture doubles championships and also singles championships in LCCC USTA tennis classic.

Sandgren victories of USTA:

In 2011, Sandgren made the victory of his first United States Tennis Association Futures tournament and this success was turning pro in that year. In 2013, he made the peak point in the world, when he won the USTA Pro Circuit at the No. 183 in ending challenger tournament. In 2014, he was upset by injury in the hip and he did the hip surgery. After finishing the surgery, he played in China in the events of the USTA Pro circuit and the ITF circuit in 2015. At the time, he won the 10 career titles in USTA/ITF at the singles tournament and made the 15 titles in doubles tournament. Sandgren said that he was really happy to get the success on his birthday and not to be a complete body contraction in this weather after a three setter. He said about his former teammate Rhyne Williams is something, and he knew what could happen in the next tournament, but it was not at the front position of his mind. He had fit his way through to get to the semis. Sandgren said that he had been playing doubles with Rhyne yesterday at the tourney and they played a few weeks before, where Rhyne got him in a stretched three setter. He said that they evidently know each other’s game attractiveness well, so it just comes down to implementation and suitability. This tournament should be an enjoyable match for them.

Williams face up to the semifinal match:

Six days before, Williams of Knoxville, who is in Tennessee and Jonathan Chang of Houston in Texas, had been playing tennis and practiced well. But Friday, Williams hit Chang with the points of 6-4 and he made a blemish in the semifinals. All people are eagerly waiting to watch the semifinal singles match of Williams and Sandgren. Williams granted that playing Sandgren will be a challenge and a good demonstrate since they know each other. The tennis team said that the semifinal match is never a fun to play because they are good friends and they want to make the full effort of this tournament. Williams said that they want to look forward to the tournament and they have to do their best. And he said, they had played so many times when they were juniors and also when they reached their professional level. So, there will be no surprises between them and confidently they can put an excellent effort for this match.

Strategy of semifinal match:

On Saturday, July 23, 2016, the semifinal match starts in the USTA Men’s Pro tennis classic. Williams and Sandgren participate in this tournament and another team includes Facunda Mena and Luczak. Mena said that he wants to look forward to the Saturday match. While the semifinal match is held on Saturday, the next day, final play will start at Andy Simpson Tennis Complex.
